Delivering cost savings through reusable training devices
Universal Systems & Technology (UNITECH®) was awarded the Virtual Environment Landing Craft Air Cushion (VE-LCAC) program by the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Orlando to deliver a high-fidelity, comprehensive, integrated and reusable training solution for the crew that controls the U.S. Navy Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Vehicle. The training devices will be comprised of PC workstations for the Navigator, Engineer and Operator training as either individual elements, or collectively.
The application will be built using MultiGen Creator, Creator Terrain Studio, Vega Prime, Vega Prime Marine, Vega Prime IR Sensor/IR Scene, Vega Prime Radar, TMM, and GL Studio from Distributed Simulation Technology, Inc. better known as DiSTI. Source data includes DFAD, DTED, DNC, Shape Files and other content currently being used in the Full Mission Trainer by the U.S. Navy.
UNITECH is committed to understanding customer requirements and exceeding expectations by providing the best-valued technical and business solutions. UNITECH has been providing services and solutions to the U.S. Navy's current LCAC simulator for seven years. This commitment to success and a proven track record, together with MultiGen-Paradigm's COTS tools, allowed UNITECH to show the U.S. Navy that a PC based training device built with our solution will service crews most satisfactorily, and provide costs savings due to fewer training bottlenecks and increased technology reuse.
