Vega Prime LADBM (Large Area Database Management) is specifically designed to facilitate the development and deployment of applications that require very large or complex databases. High performance levels are guaranteed by optimizing the loading and organization of large datasets through the dynamic paging of "tiles" and user-definable paging center (Areas of Interest).

Designed for use with MetaFlight, the MultiGen-Paradigm XML-based file specification and database description format, Vega Prime LADBM helps to assure that the composition and relationship of large datasets is communicated in the most efficient, streamlined manner possible. The hierarchical data structure of the MetaFlight file is preserved in the runtime scene graph for optimal performance. By taking advantage of the Vega Prime core capabilities including double precision and multi-threading, Vega Prime LADBM delivers the optimal commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solution for the requirements of large area visual simulation.

Designed specifically for use in applications that utilize large or complex databases
Multiple paging threads
Coordinate system support
Support for MetaFlight™ gridded datasets
High performance paging management
Terrain Tile Localization

Multiple Paging Centers (Areas of Interest)
Paging of multiple simultaneous areas of interest is supported in required areas of the database
Coordinate System Support
Full support for flat and round earth coordinate systems
MetaFlight Gridded Datasets
Highly optimized performance assured through integrated support for MetaFlight's gridded datasets. Vega Prime LADBM adds specific runtime attribution to the datasets for visual simulation such as intersection masks and LOD filters for performance tuning.
High Performance Paging Management
Highly optimized geometry and imagery paging using asynchronous paging and multiple paging threads
Terrain Tile Localization
Automated positioning of localized tiles by efficient encapsulation of geographic layout information in MetaFlight geometry gridded datasets
Configurable Using LynX Prime™
Applications utilizing large or complex datasets can be configured using the LynX Prime GUI configuration tool or directly through the API. Applications can be built from scratch, or imported through a LynX Prime MetaFlight wizard to achieve the highest level of productivity and reuse
Integrated
Vega Prime LADBM is part of a fully-integrated suite of application-specific Vega Prime modules and can be used with any existing Vega Prime application
Productivity
C++ STL-compliant architecture for increased productivity and performance
Extendable
Allows a high degree of customization, allowing for users to tailor their application to their own software design, rather than altering their software to fit into a product's constraints
